We’re Back (but not really)

My hosting provider wanted to charge me the outrageous sum of $10 a month for continuing to host Diznix.com. Well, it seemed outrageous at the time -especially when you can have WordPress.com host you for a much more reasonable $1 a month.

So yesterday, I did the usual DNS tricks at both dizwell.com and diznix.com (both now re-direct here), and Lo! Apparently the move means I’ve popped up on Google Reader and various other places.

I guess that means I’m back in one sense… except that if you knew where to find me, I never actually went away (as the dates on the posts here might indicate).

In another, however, it means nothing of the sort, since I don’t intend writing anything of wit, insight or other cultural worth. You need talent for that sort of thing.

    Hi Howard,

I’ve been following your posts for a number of years (mainly via RSS in google reader) and yes, you did pop up again this week. I hadn’t seen anything since the intermission posting. Lots of posts to catch up on now!

You may be aware already but links between posts seem to be broken (404 errors) and links to old posts in the RSS feed are not found either. Maybe something to do with the provider change??

Just thought I’d let you know.

    Regards
    David

PS – How’s Byron these days?

Thanks, David. Byron’s fine. Rachel died (not that we found the body or anything… just that she’s not been around for ages). But all the others are still turning up, stuffing themselves on birdseed and roo food and doing well.

Thanks for the heads-up on the broken links. Will be fixing those over the next several days, I expect!
